Has anyone considered that maybe Katherine's long lost child is Cane?!! Wouldn't that actually be kind of perfect. I know she mentioned she gave a girl away but it would just a simple writing coup to make the lost baby a boy. Then Cane would be a Chancellor. I think that might be a good idea. Any thoughts???

Doesn't Katherine's long lost child have to be much older than Cane...like around Jill's age?

Some have speculated that the new billionare coming to town, Tucker, may be Kay's lost child.

Katherine's long lost child was born between 1952-1961.

Cane was born in 1975.

The thing I don't like about the possibility of Cane being Katherine's grandson, is another heartbreak for Jill. She and Cane have bonded and developed a great relationship. Billy will just need to work through that.

In recents years, Jill has changed for the better. I like the current Jill and her relationship with Cane.

She's had SO MANY heartbreaks in the last few years. If Cane is Kay's grandson, it will change their relationship.

It will also affect Billy, he can go to Katherine for comfort and understanding, and she helps him to see things as they are. I like their bond. Cane being Katherine's grandson will also make problems for Billy and his relationship with Katherine. He's going to really spiral downward if that happens.

Quite the opposite for me Daisy Jane. If Cane is Katherine's biological grandson, I don't think that his relationship with Jill will change at all. Katherine regardless of DNA now considers Jill her daughter and Jill regardless of DNA considers Cane her son. Cane being Katherine's grandson imo will be a win, win situation all the way around. Cane needs to feel that he is part of this family. I know Jill and Katherine have reassured him that despite everything he is, but I do believe that deep down he fears that may change. Forget about Billy in my eyes, Cane feelings should be important for a change. Therefore let Katherine be his grandmother. I think it would make for a heck of a story to be told for Cane to be connected to Mrs. Chancellor after all that's happened.

It is a far stretch that Phillip and Cane would meet thousands of miles away, across the ocean, become close friends and Cane ends up being a part of the Chancellor family.

If Cane needs to feel that he is a part of the family, Jill should legally adopt him but she should look into his past first.

I still have a problem with Cane letting Katherine believe in her memory visions of switching babies at birth. She went through so much heartache and turmoil over that and on top of that she wasn't well. I just have a problem with people taking advantage of older people and children.

Yes, they do consider him family, but anyway you cut it there's bound to be some changes in relationships if it happens.

May not be as far of a stretch as you think Daisy Jane,for Cane to be related to Katherine that is. I think that it would bring a great twist to this story. I don't know about you, but I'm into mysteries, suspense, and intrigue. I think it would be very intriguing for Cane to be tied to this family by blood (he already is by love). The question I keep coming back to is how did Phillip know about Katherine giving birth to a child all those years ago? Surely she wasn't supposed to have mentioned this before he disappeared and faked his death. Then my question to you is why are you not bothered by the fact that Phillip created this scheme, using Katherine's painful past? Cane would of had no way of knowing this about her. Which brings me back to how did Phillip know about the baby and this woman (Charlotte Ramsey I believe) that supposedly took the child?
Lastly, there were changes in Kay, Jill, Brock, and everyone else's relationship when it was discovered that Jill was and then wasn't Kay's daughter, but in the end it all worked out very well. One thing about it and it has been emphasized over and over with this s/l, is the fact that to Mrs. Chancellor, family is not only constituted by blood, but also by a deep love and affection for the other person. So Cane will be family by blood or by choice of those who've accepted him as such. I simply like the idea of it being by blood as well.
