General Hospital - MESSAGE BOARDS

I was completely a person that was on board the whole "kill Claudia bandwagon" and I obviously knew that it was going to happen, I even knew how and when it was going to happen. And don't get me wrong, I'm happy she is gone, but why then, do I feel like I miss her, even though I hated her and felt it was her time to go? Maybe that is why that scene had such a powerful impact on me. Seeing her lying there like that, sprawled across the floor, with blood pouring out of her head, and staring deafeningly into space, just made me think, "I can't believe she is actually gone." Maybe it's because I grew used to her? Or that I enjoyed hating her and using her as an outlet for all my frustrations about the show in general?

Surreal is the word I'm looking for. It was all so surreal.

Anyone else feel similarly, or differently for that matter?

I feel the same way, I hated Claudia most of the time but I love SJB and will miss her imensely like I did when she left the role of Carly.

I think I'll miss the Claudia character because even though she was evil I think she did havew redeemable qualities that could have turned her around, she could have been that person you just love to hate so to speak. I wish GH and SJB could have worked things out and she could have stayed on. Her and Sonny could have been great together but the writers wrote her into a corner and the only recourse was her exit.

Claudia did not deserve to die like that and on her birthday. Come on GH you could have found another way to punish this character without killing her and then burying her body out there. That was so cold hearted. She wasn't an animal; but, a human being.

I'm with you what a waste. They wated half of her contract running her around town trying to see who she fit with. I thought she and Nicholas were hot. Then they finally hook her up with Sonny and I think there was long term potiential there I dont want him with Olivia that is just hypocritical. She would be putting everything on the line her sons respect all the years she spent protecting him from his fathers life to throw it away.

This is off track of the thread name but I didn't want to start a new thread and it is about Claudi so here goes . . .

Did anyone else have the feeling that Anthony had sexually abused Claudia? I know that's an ugly topic but that was always the vibe I got from their characters interaction. It would also explain alot about why she was so messed up. She turned all of that rage, frustration and helplessness into the persuit of power. It always seemed like the writers hinted at it but they never actually revealed it. Thoughts?

I agree with you soapsurfer, as a matter of fact, I was wondering if Johnny was really, Claudia's son. She was always so possessive of him. If Dante can be Olivia's son, why can't John be Claudia's son?

I'm still singing and dancing in glory that Claudia is gone. I will miss having SJB around, but I just can't be sad for Claudia's absence.
