;( I would like to see a more diverse group of people on the soaps. Not only African Americans, but all the different races.

That's what I was going to say. There's not hardly any diversity or races on the soaps.

They need to bring Kristen back, her son Zende was black and her husband Tony was hispanic. Then they can bring back Erik Estrada who was Tony's dad. Amber can come back and bring Usher with her. They also need to show more of Justin. They need to increase B & B to one hour so we can see more characters.

There HAVE been non-caucasians on this show, but imho those have just been token-non-caucasians. They always had quite superficial SLs, so that they can disappear, without a big loss in the show.

This is the way it is with most soaps. Makes you wonder if they have some sort of inside data that shows people would rather watch caucasions. I remember Oprah said something about it was hard to get a black romance off the ground production wise. That's why I like Y and R they have one black family on the show. I find it amazing that many of these shows can bring gay characters on but when comes to other races it's like Asian etc don't exist.

Yeah I think there should be more minorities on soaps too especially AA's bc they don't have production in another country(nope not Africa) like all of the other races do....

I'd love for Marcus to have a bigger s/l. He's just a nice all-around guy. I liked him from day one.

Maybe the shows should increase the minorities writers too, for that matter. I would like to see an African American woman on B&B...maybe for Justin. Give Donna a little nudge...maybe?

And what is even sadder, is that when they do have african americans on the shows, most times (not all) they hook them up with white folks. Why can't Justin have a black woman to be with? Why must Marcus fall for white girls? Why can't they bring maybe a single black woman with a daughter on the show?
