Just that I kind of got beaten up on a thread I started - - don't want to go into it, but it is still up. I was hoping some of my Dem friends would come in and help. However,
Adm. took care of it. You posted an Ozzie video on it, I think.....and, by the way, I had my volume up when I opened that link and almost got blasted out!!!

It’s official. The Blue Dog’s fundraising slowdown was not just a symptom of the dog days of summer. Newly released public disclosure forms indicate that over September, the coalition’s PAC took in its smallest monthly total yet this year.

Our analysis of the fiscally conservative and increasingly influential Blue Dog Coalition and its funding noted that the group’s political action committee had averaged more than $176,000 in receipts from other PACs over the first half of 2009. Their monthly haul dropped to a surprisingly low $27,000 in July, rebounded somewhat in August, and but then dropped again to just $12,500 in September.

That September money came from just three donations — $5,000 from accounting and professional services giant Ernst & Young’s PAC, $2,500 from the Food Marketing Institute PAC, and $5,000 from the National Rifle Association of America Political Victory Fund.

After raising $1.1 million from January to June, the committee raised less than $87,000 between July and September — less than it brought in during any one of the preceding five months. And in just three months, the Blue Dog PAC’s monthly fundraising average dropped by more than $50,000 — probably not the sort of fiscal conservatism the 52-member coalition was hoping for.

CNN Poll: 7 in 10 say Palin not qualified to be president

More than seven in 10 Americans think Sarah Palin is not qualified to be president, according to a new national poll.

Seventy-one percent of those questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Wednesday morning believe the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee is not qualified to be president, with 29 percent saying she does have the credentials to serve in the White House. Republicans appear split, with 52 percent saying she's qualified and 47 percent disagreeing with that view.

WAY TO GO MR. PRESIDENT!!!

Trumpeting a victory against careless spending, President Barack Obama on Wednesday signed a defense bill that kills some costly weapons projects and expands war efforts. In a major civil rights change, the law also makes it a federal hate crime to assault people based on sexual orientation.

The $680 billion bill authorizes spending but doesn't provide any actual dollars. Rather, it sets guidance that is typically followed by congressional committees that decide appropriations. Obama hailed it as a step toward ending needless military spending that he called "an affront to the American people and to our troops."

Media should opt out of forwarding Lieberman's dubious public option claims

Media outlets continue to uncritically report Sen. Joe Lieberman's (I-CT) statement that he will oppose cloture for the Senate health care reform bill because he believes the opt-out public option provision Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has said will be included in the bill would increase the national debt and burden the taxpayers. However, while Reid's bill has not yet been released, every proposed bill with a public option thus far has required that those who enroll in the plan cover its costs through premiums, rather than have the plans be paid for through federal revenues.

Ahhh...it's good to know what the heck one is talking about before one says it, right? Wish Lieberman felt the same way...can someone ship him off to Antartica?

Does everyone forget that anyone who takes out insurance who could not before, will be paying premiums, deductibles and shares of cost as with any insurance. Where does it say the government is footing the bill with taxpayers' money? That's just a scare tactic imposed by those who don't want to lose Insurance Company campaign and lobbying funds. The government's involvement has more to do with making sure Insurance Companies don't profit off the backs of those they refuse to cover who are enrolled in their packages, or from the newly insured who can now opt into an insurance plan. You'd think Insurance Companies would welcome new insured clients - they sure won't go broke over this - neither will the taxpayers!

Limbaugh and most of those on FOX Noise, make a lot of money with their scare tactics too. The almighty dollar trumps truth in reporting (if you want to call it that) but indoctrination works on a lot of scared people!

I have always found the reporters on Faux News LOUD and obnoxious - - even before they continued to get their 15 minutes of fame, over and over again, by attacking the President.

Loud and obnoxious always seems to attract attention. Limbaugh sounds and looks like a fractiious little kid who is trying to get attention by blathering nonsense. "SOMEBODY, PAY ATTENTION TO ME - AREN'T I CUTE AND CLEVER?" I just feel like sending him to his room until he learns the shut TF Up!
