Hello everyone,

I just want to take a minute to address some issues and concerns that have been happening in the lounge lately. So please take the time to read through this and take it all in so that we can hopefully get these issues cleaned and cleared up and move on to a more welcoming environment.

First thing I want to address is the Political threads:

Republican/Democratic threads: You are pretty much free to discuss whatever issues you may have with your party or with another party in your thread. Republicans aren’t going to like everything the Democrats do and the Democrats aren’t going to like everything the Republicans do therefore you can certainly voice that opinion. What isn’t allowed is using your thread to discuss the other users who may be of a different party. You can’t write in your own thread baiting posts such as, “I can’t believe what ____ said, how stupid, that’s Republicans/Democrats for you,” something like that. I’m sure you get my point, that’s just a made up example of the things that are being removed from the threads constantly. Doing this is not only baiting but also bashing. There’s no need for you to go into the other parties thread just to look for trouble. Let’s all be mature and debate opinions but not argue with the poster or stir the pot. This message is not addressed to any one party but to everyone.

Political threads in general: Just like I wrote above, you are going to have differing opinions no matter what the subject is; politics are just more heavily opinionated. You have to debate the point you cannot argue with the poster. Yes, debates can get heated, and yes, I’m more than lenient with everyone on here. I could just ban right away but I choose to try and give everyone the opportunity to realize the mistake and move on. I can’t do this anymore if no one is going to learn from their mistakes. There has to be more of an improvement before I can be nice anymore.

Aside from politics, as always, baiting a poster and/or bashing a poster is not tolerated. This is something I know everyone is well aware of but I want to give that reminder. This thread is going to be placed at the top for a few days to ensure that everyone gets a chance to see it. It’s not going to be opened because this isn’t opened for discussion; it’s just the bottom line. The guidelines are posted here and everyone is expected to read them before posting.

This is a blanket warning to everyone. Any further violations will result in immediate bans. Please let’s all just remember to treat everyone with respect and adhere to the guidelines.

Let’s move forward from here.
