Annie stuns Adam, Erica is appalled at an admission, and Angie is livid with her hubby!
David has called Liza to Wildwind. He is complaining that Amanda is violating her contract - she's out with Jake doing who knows what! Liza tries to tell him to relax, and accuses him of not really wanting a baby - just to drive a wedge between Jake and Amanda. Jake walks in and declares that will never happen. Amanda follows, and Jake mocks David's need for control over everything. Amanda says she still plans to go through with the artificial insemination - she'll be at the clinic tomorrow, but David says that depends - on whether or not they had sex tonight! Jake hisses that there was no sex - not tonight. Amanda confirms it.
In the chapel, Kendall tells Aidan she's puzzled about Zach's most recent message - he didn't mention Adam, or if there's been any progress. She asks Aidan if he's sure all the messages are getting through. Aidan is a bit put out, and Kendall assures him she's grateful to him - she's just worried about Zach. Aidan remarks that Zach kept her in a secret room, and brings up the fact that he had sex with Liza. Kendall defends him, then asks why they're talking about this. Aidan throws up his hands, and goes out for fresh air. Kendall decides to call Zach in prison. He tells her it's a bad idea. Just as he's about to hang up, a gunshot rings out behind Kendall and she screams!
At the police station, Erica, Jesse, and Ryan bicker over whether or not Adam could have shot his own brother. Erica still thinks it could have been Annie, but Ryan is certain now that it was Adam! Erica notes that the guilt would eat Adam alive. She is stunned that Annie may have known this all along. Ryan nods, saying she's been protecting Adam all this time. When he wants to put a little more pressure on Adam, Jesse says neither one of them are going anywhere!
Annie and Scott, in the Chandler living room, struggle to convince Adam not to confess to shooting Stuart. Adam picks up the phone and says he's turning himself in! Annie grabs the phone and says he didn't know what he was doing! Adam insists that the truth needs to come out and questions Annie about having Emma keep this secret. Annie argues that Emma understands why she must. Suddenly, Adam experiences heart pain. Annie and Scott theorize about the possibility that Adam's been drugged again. Annie feels David Hayward could be behind it. They decide to get Adam to the hospital and take his pills to the lab.
At Wildwind, David gets a call to go to the hospital - he tells Jake, Amanda, and Liza that Adam Chandler's been brought in - he hopes it's serious! After he leaves, Liza informs Amanda and Jake that she thinks they're absolutely nuts! They try to explain their reasons for going through with this plan. Liza takes a call from Zach - he needs her to get him out of jail. Liza leaves. Jake points out to Amanda that they're alone, and asks coyly what she'd like to do? She smiles that they could make love - right there. Jake says David is probably outside with binoculars. Amanda says, "Let him watch." She then explains that they won't even touch - they'll imagine they're doing it. Jake notes it sounds like torture - she says it's a test of endurance! As they talk seductively to one another, Jake imagines making love to her, then asks, "Was it as good for you, as it was for me?"
Jesse, at the police station, is notified that Adam has been admitted to the hospital. He leaves, telling Erica and Ryan to wait there for him. As he leaves, Liza walks in. Erica gets in her face, and Liza says she's come to bail out Zach. Erica backs off. Liza tells them that Adam has gone to the hospital due to his heart. Erica is upset. Ryan tells her to come with him - they have to act fast! Zach comes out of his cell and tells Liza that Kendall called him - he heard a gunshot, and plans to find his wife.
At the hospital, David tells Annie and Scott that Adam will be fine. They step outside, and Annie accuses David of giving Adam whacked-out pills. David smoothly says he doesn't like what they're implying, pointing out that a former nurse took full responsibility the last time. Scott sneers that she covered his butt, and warns that they plan to have the pills analyzed. David walks off, and Jesse shows up. Annie and Scott tell him to let Adam rest for now. Jesse and Annie get into it over her 'love' for Adam. He goes to the vending machines, and Scott tells Annie that Jesse was behaving differently. Annie agrees - she thinks they may be on to Adam!
Aidan comes back into the chapel and is angry when he learns Kendall phoned Zach. He puts the phone on the floor and stomps on it! He says they have to move on, and make this chapel look like a dead end. He tells Kendall to make them disappear. Suddenly, Zach bursts in. Aidan asks what he's doing there? Zach says he heard a gunshot and was worried, he then chastises Kendall for having the phone. Aidan tells Kendall they have to get out of there. Zach gives Kendall her wedding ring to wear, and they kiss. Aidan announces that they have visitors! Kendall and Aidan hustle to get out of there, as Zach stays put. The FBI bursts in with guns aimed. Zach turns around and asks, "Can't a man pray in peace?"
Angie corners David in the hospital and confronts him about switching Adam's pills and interfering in others' lives. He denies it at first, but then admits his guilt. He says he switched the prescription, but the ones who administered it were Ryan, Zach, and Jesse! Angie narrows her eyes, as David smirks and tells her to go ahead and sound the alarms - she'll expose her husband too!
Outside the door to Adam's room, Jesse asks Scott if Adam has woke up yet. Jesse wonders how Scott can live with himself. They get into it, and Jesse warns that Scott doesn't have to go along with his family's bad choices. Jesse sees Adam open his eyes. Adam asks Annie to send Jesse in. Annie refuses, telling him that she and Scott could be charged as accessories to murder if he confesses! She then blurts that she can't go to jail - she's pregnant!
Angie finds Jesse in the hospital corridor and asks him if he's involved with Adam being drugged. He admits it readily, and she's livid that he has bent the rules again and effectively prevented her from nailing David Hayward. Jesse says they're trying to catch a murderer. David shows up as Jesse walks away, and tells Angie he guesses Jesse confirmed his claims. Angie tells him she'll still go public with the analysis of the drugs - unless he steps down as Chief of Staff!
Also at the hospital, Erica tells Ryan she is certain that she is the one to get Adam to talk. She tells Ryan that she'll need his help though. As Ryan causes a ruckus with Annie and Scott, demanding to see Adam, Erica sneaks into Adam's room. She tells him they've figured it all out, and that they know he was drugged and not in his own mind that night. Adam confirms it was him, but tells her he still can't confess. Erica is appalled that he's willing to go on letting Kendall take the rap!
